Well you know it all already... Sammael and his guitar, that's it ! Ok ok, I'm French, I live in south of France and I study English at the university.
For this awesome song by the Arctic Monkeys I recorded my guitar on a self-made backing track, using Riffstation software I managed to remove almost all the original guitars sounds. If you want that backing track just ask me and I will share it !
I recorded two separate tracks, playing the same notes each time but the settings were different. For the one on the left I only used a little bit of overdrive, to get that almost clean, slightly crunchy tone. For the one on the right I used a lot of gain on my overdrive and during the chorus I added a bit of distorsion together with the overdrive. Finally I recorded a third track only for the chorus, with only distorsion and I changed the placement of my recording mic to get more bass. That's why you can hear different guitars sounds throughout the song, it's similar to what the Arctic Monkeys actually did in their studio version.
