On compte parmi ses plus grands tubes les chansons Think, (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman, I Say a Little Prayer, I Never Loved A Man, Ain't No Way, I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me) en duo avec George Michael, Freeway of Love, Chain of Fools, Angel et Respect.
Aretha y place quatre albums : I Never Loved A Man (The Way I Love You) (13e), Lady Soul (75e), Amazing Grace (154e, album gospel le plus vendu de l'histoire) et Young, Gifted & Black (388e).
