Recently I rediscovered one of the most powerful stories of overcoming betrayal and tragedy. Alexandre Dumas has story The Count of Monte Cristo. A story of betrayal by a trusted comrade and eventual recovery and triumph. I saw four different movie versions of this story during the Oscar month of February. It encouraged me to use the story line for this amazing song I've always loved from Creed. This song has had significant meaning in my life for many many years. However recently myself and some co-workers who are very close to me have been dealing with some serious betrayal and a reversal of Fortunes because of it. Recently myself and several team members decided to step down from an Endeavor that we began together two years ago. And the conversations of late have lead to us believing that we are entitled to overcome this situation and find an honorable Endeavor to pursue regardless of the circumstances forced upon us. I'd like to dedicate this song to two friends in particular. Nick Harshman, and Abbie Distel. Keep your hearts in the place they are. You are great people and your dedication and committment to doing what is right is note worthy and inspiring. We are entitled to overcome. I own no materials used in the making of this video.
