EddieBower (BMI) began his music industry career in 1999 as a Traffic Manager for radio station WABB-FM in Mobile, Alabama. After 3 years; he was let go and left to ponder if his career was over before it started. While living in a hotel room with his dad, he harnessed his musical skills and produced a local hip-hop act that opened for Ludacris in 2003. Moving back to L.A. shortly thereafter, he quickly discovered that he was a “small fish in a BIG pond!” Knowing that he needed more, he decided to attend Musicians Institute (http://www.mi.edu) in ’05. After graduating from MI’s Audio Engineering program in 2006, he was hired as Chief Engineer for multi-platinum producer George "G-One" Archie (R. Kelly, DJ Quik, Raphael Saadiq) and has worked with such artists as WC, Tank, Darius McCrary, Yukmouth, and Greg Phillinganes (Michael Jackson) as well as the 2007 HBO documentary Bastards of the Party (directed by Antoine Fuqua). He was hired shortly after at MI as a Studio Session Supervisor before becoming a full-time Audio Engineering Instructor in 2010, awarded with Audio Engineering Instructor Of The Year. Now entering his 11th year, he has taught a variety of audio engineering classes, and has now added film composer and post-production mixer to his credit. Always looking for “more” opportunities; Eddie is as hungry as ever. A seasoned professional with a work ethic to match, it’s only a matter of time. This is a cover of the theme 'New Avengers,' from the motion picture Avengers: Age Of Ultron Starring Robert Downey, Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, with James Spader as Ultron & Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. The original score was composed by both Brian Tyler (Fast Franchise, Iron Man 3) and legendary Danny Elfman (Batman, Bettlejuice). This theme was composed by Danny, and features motifs from Brian's theme & the original Avengers theme (composed by Alan Silvestri). You hear his flavor all over it; which made this even more difficult to re-create. As Avengers:Endgame is being released (4-26-19) at the time of this posting, I wanted to do a theme from one of the movies. This was by far my favorite and it really tested my theory. "Heroes," also by D. Elfman; has a similar motif, but this is featured in the end credits.
As always, this was done by ear and via MIDI. Please offer your comments, likes, and subscribe. I want to do other themes; but will only do them with your continuing support. Thank you.
