This time I’ve covered a more contemporary tune. "Cool Kids" is the debut single song by American pop rock band Echosmith, from their 2013 debut studio album, “Talking Dreams”. The song subsequently became a hit.
For this cover, I watched the lesson by Echosmith's guitarist Jamie Sierota. I have no tabs.
I recorded the muted guitar as in the original recording, panning the guitar lines alternatively left to right, which creates an interesting effect. I used an opto tremolo effect for the main riff, and amp modeling, basing the electric guitar sound in Vox AC 30 amp.
There's a cut in the original video, because the album version is slightly longer than the single version.
