EddieBower (BMI) began his music industry career in 1999 as a Traffic Manager for radio station WABB-FM in Mobile, Alabama. After 3 years; he was let go and left to ponder if his career was over before it started. While living in a hotel room with his dad, he harnessed his musical skills and produced a local hip-hop act that opened for Ludacris in 2003. Moving back to L.A. shortly thereafter, he quickly discovered that he was a “small fish in a BIG pond!” Knowing that he needed more, he decided to attend Musicians Institute (http://www.mi.edu) in ’05. After graduating from MI’s Audio Engineering program in 2006, he was hired as Chief Engineer for multi-platinum producer George "G-One" Archie (R. Kelly, DJ Quik, Raphael Saadiq) and has worked with such artists as WC, Tank, Darius McCrary, Yukmouth, and Greg Phillinganes (Michael Jackson) as well as the 2007 HBO documentary Bastards of the Party (directed by Antoine Fuqua). He was hired shortly after at MI as a Studio Session Supervisor before becoming a full-time Audio Engineering Instructor in 2010, awarded with Audio Engineering Instructor Of The Year. Now entering his 11th year, he has taught a variety of audio engineering classes, and has now added film composer and post-production mixer to his credit. Always looking for “more” opportunities; Eddie is as hungry as ever. A seasoned professional with a work ethic to match, it’s only a matter of time. This is an orchestral cover of the main theme - Enterprising Young Men - from the motion picture ‘Star Trek.’ It stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Anton Yeltsin, Bruce Greenwood, Tyler Perry & Eric Bana. The original score was composed by the great Michael Giacchino (Star Trek-J.J. Abrams, The Incredibles, Jurassic World, Spiderman: Far From Home). After I created the cover from ‘Into Darkness’ I wanted to see if I could do better with the first movie’s score. Although they have similar melody lines, this is a totally different arrangement. This motif is during the scene when the crew first boards their newly constructed flagship; the USS Enterprise NCC-1701. This took about 4 days from start to finish; ALL ear, and ALL MIDI. Comment, rate, and subscribe & as always; thank you for listening. Live long and prosper!!!!
