EddieBower (BMI) began his music industry career in 1999 as a Traffic Manager for radio station WABB-FM in Mobile, Alabama. After 3 years; he was let go and left to ponder if his career was over before it started. While living in a hotel room with his dad, he harnessed his musical skills and produced a local hip-hop act that opened for Ludacris in 2003. Moving back to L.A. shortly thereafter, he quickly discovered that he was a “small fish in a BIG pond!” Knowing that he needed more, he decided to attend Musicians Institute (http://www.mi.edu) in ’05. After graduating from MI’s Audio Engineering program in 2006, he was hired as Chief Engineer for multi-platinum producer George "G-One" Archie (R. Kelly, DJ Quik, Raphael Saadiq) and has worked with such artists as WC, Tank, Darius McCrary, Yukmouth, and Greg Phillinganes (Michael Jackson) as well as the 2007 HBO documentary Bastards of the Party (directed by Antoine Fuqua). He was hired shortly after at MI as a Studio Session Supervisor before becoming a full-time Audio Engineering Instructor in 2010, awarded with Audio Engineering Instructor Of The Year. Now entering his 11th year, he has taught a variety of audio engineering classes, and has now added film composer and post-production mixer to his credit. Always looking for “more” opportunities; Eddie is as hungry as ever. A seasoned professional with a work ethic to match, it’s only a matter of time. This is an orchestral cover of the main theme from the motion picture ‘Star Trek Into Darkness.’ It stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Anton Yeltsin, Bruce Greenwood, Alice Eve, Peter Weller, & Benedict Cumberbatch. The original score was composed by Michael Giacchino (The Incredibles, Jurassic World, Spiderman: Far From Home). This is one of the best scores I’ve heard, plus I’m a huge ’trekkie' & had to give it a try. I focused on not just playing chords; but learning how every instrument was played. It took about 2 weeks from start to finish; listening to every detail and trying to get all the parts right-the trills, rips, choir vibratos, even some of the bow changes. I did this all one my 4GB MacBook Air with a huge lift from EastWest Composer Cloud thanks guys); all by ear, and all in MIDI. If you’d like to learn more about how this process took place; please comment below. Also, rate & subscribe to my channel; as I’m willing to do more creative themes & would love your input. Thank you for listening & enjoy it as much as I did creating it. Live long and prosper!
