Hello everybody welcome to my page on Coverium! My name is Daiying Otten and I'm from a big town in Germany called Frankfurt and I'm using this account for uploading my vocal covers from YouTube.So I really hope that you guys enjoy my content on here because I always put a lot of work into my covers and always try to make them sound as good as possible! Moreover beside singing I also play an instrument which is the piano and apart from these two activities my hobbies are also dancing,drawing,stretching,editing pictures and listening to music! Happy Halloween everybody! So to fit today's occasion,I came up with a very amazing,spooky,haunting,wicked and dark song called "Is It Scary" by the one and only and lovely King of Pop Michael Joseph Jackson.
So since I absolutely love this song to death,think it's perfect for Halloween and think it's very great and fun to sing as well,I decided to do a cover of this song.
And to give this cover even more of a Halloween feeling,I have put on some creepy make up and have chosen this glowing and misty effect to go with it! And I have as well applied the darkest lipstick I could find for this cover!
So if I had a black lipstick I would have applied that instead but since I don't have one I could only apply the dark brown one.Cause that's the darkest lipstick I have!
Even though black lipstick would have went better with this look and Halloween in general.But dark brown is also not bad in fact any dark lipstick color goes with this look and Halloween! But of course black lipstick is still the best for it!
And to finish of my simple Halloween look I decided to wear a black choker necklace which was a last minute idea hahaha! I haven't thought about it before!
And to those people who think I'm wearing a costume,no I'm sadly not I'm only wearing make-up,a choker necklace and that's it! Not more!
Maybe the effect kinda makes it look like it.
But still all these things combined together which is the make up,the effect and my crazy faces makes me look pretty scary and spooky hahaha! Like a clown or a zombie from a freakshow or a horror movie!
And god do I love this effect cause it really creates a very misty,spooky and Halloween like feeling! Last but not least this effect really makes you look like a ghost like I do in this case! It's amazing!
And because this song is in Michael's short film "Ghosts" this effect fits perfectly to this song also!
Also I once again cannot explain how freaking much I love this song! Cause the music and the Michael sings it is simply amazing,beautiful,haunting and powerful! It's a very mighty song I absolutely love it!
And if you pay closer attention to the lyrics and rhythm "Is It Scary" is extremely similar to the song "Ghosts".Cause it has the exact same lyrics at specific parts and similar music and rhythm as well! Which is pretty awesome I think!
Otherwise this is the first cover I have worn makeup in by the way,cause I have never worn makeup in any of my covers before! Except in this one obviously.
And it's also the first video where I have ever talked after finishing a cover as well!
Yes I indeed planned to talk in it since this cover is for a special occasion named "Halloween".
Now back to the song itself,well as I always do with every song of Michael,I as well want to honor him with this wonderful,magical and powerful song of his! Cause he truly deserved it much more than anybody else in this world as I said million times! But in this special case I also wanted to celebrate Halloween with this amazing and fittingly song!
Now back to the cover itself,well sadly my voice got a bit hoarse at some parts once again and this time I even messed up the lyrics at a few parts of the song!
And also sang at the wrong time! Which I'm extremely sorry for but sometimes something like that just simply happens! No matter how hard I try to prevent! Which I do as much as I can! So please have some comprehension for that once again guys,thank you!
But despite all that of course,I still tried to make this song sound as great and as perfect as possible as I always do!
But still this is NOT supposed to sound perfect nor professional at al cause I'm just doing this as a hobby and for having some fun during it.
So as always I had lots of fun singing and recording this cover!
So now guys just simply enjoy the video as usual!
