I'm a self-taught guitarist. I've been playing the guitar for 1,5 years now I've been into singing and music since I could walk and I listen to several genres of music. Mostly I listen to metal, prog, rock, blues, jazz and sometimes classical music. My main instrument is electric guitar, but I'm also interested in playing bass, drums, piano and singing.
Here's my quickly recorded cover of the both guitar solos from Pink Floyd's Comfortably numb. One of my personal favourite guitar solos of all time. Of course I don't come even close to Gilmour's performance, but it's a nice piece to play. I don't play it as the original is, but I tried to follow the idea of the original solos and took a lot of elements from them too. For a solo that demands so much feel to it, I think it was better, in my case at least, not to follow the original 100%.
Again, please do note my playing experience so far: approx. 1 year and 4 months, self taught...
I don't own any rights for the music. All rights belong to Pink Floyd
