From Bilbao. I love music, especially rock, from pop-rock to metal. My favorite decade for music is the 90s, and the sound of grunge bands,... I hope you enjoy the covers.

After the success of the band first album “Copper Blue” (1992), Sugar released the EP “Beaster”, in the spring of 1993. The songs in this album were recorded at the same time as the “Copper Blue” album, however it has a much denser, heavier sound closer in spirit to Hüsker Du than that record. The first time I listened to this album I was amazed! I liked each of the songs, and it’s an album I can listen to entirely from the beginning to the end.
“Come Around” is the opening track of the album, composed by front man Bob Mould, and one of my favorite songs from the band. The version I’ve recorded is a live version, performed recently by Bob Mould’s band (Sugar disbanded in 1995). The version on the album is a bit longer and also includes acoustic guitars.
Bob Mould is known for playing Fender Stratocaster guitars with Lace Sensor pickups. I own a Fender Strat, but the sound of the Lace Sensors is more powerful than common single coils, so I played for this my very “grunge” guitar G&L Rampage, with humbuckers. I recorded several guitars, more similar to the studio version of the song. In live performances, Bob Mould is the only guitarist, so he’s supported by the bass player.
Standard tuning: E A D G B E
Gear used:
- G&L Rampage Jerry Cantrell signature.
- Digitech RP360 Effects Processor.
