EVITERNITY is a progressive metal/djent band from Budapest, Hungary. It was formed in 2015, but the lineup went through lots of changes. The current lineup is: Adam Ferris Taljebbini, Albert Tóth, László Antal, Alex Lukács and Róbert Asztalos.
History
EVITERNITY was formed in the summer of 2015 from the remaining members of a metalcore band called As We Fly Away. Albert was heavily influenced by the djent wave at the time, so the new direction was progressive music played on low-tuned, 7 string guitars, instead of metalcore. László Antal and Csaba Urbányi were the other founding members, who continued playing and writing music with the band for years to come.(László is still the lead guitar player, Csaba left in 2018.)
The new songs were written in a fast pace, but the band had trouble with finding it's vocalist. They were experimenting with many singers and screamers, but during these times, no recordings were made.
László's friend, Áron Miriszlai was playing bass for the band in the first year, but he left the country, and they had to look for a new bassist. That's when Alex Lukács joined the band, who is still the bass player for EVITERNITY.
In the fall of 2017 Adam Ferris Taljebbini became the singer, who is still a permanent member of the group.
Soon after finding Adam, Bence Joó became the band's screamer. They worked on the first EP together, but before the release, Bence left the group to concentrate on his other band, Borders of Byzantium.
The members decided that instead of searching for a new scream vocalist, Adam improves his scream techniques, which he couldn't do well enough when he joined the band. Since then, he does all the clean and scream vocals for the band during studio and live performances as well.
The First EP's instrumental parts were fully written in 2016, but the full release waited until June 2018.The EP got the name "Delusions". The cover and the debute video were made by the main songwriter, Albert Tóth.
In December 2018, the band had to find a new drummer in place of the founding member, Csaba Urbányi. Róbert Asztalos, who was only 17 at the time, and played with Albert in another band called Gods of the Fallen before, became the new drummer for EVITERNITY.
In 2019 the band started playing live, with all original music, and finished recording their second EP, to be released in June 2019. The new EP's title will be "Fractures".
