From Bilbao. I love music, especially rock, from pop-rock to metal. My favorite decade for music is the 90s, and the sound of grunge bands,... I hope you enjoy the covers.

This is my first cover of a song by Soundgarden, one of my favorite bands ever. https://youtu.be/MfjWlI81apQ
"The Day I Tried to Live" was released in 1994 as the second single from the band's album, Superunknown. The song was written by frontman Chris Cornell, and is about a man trying to move past his tendency to withdraw from other people and the world, even though he keeps failing.
The tuning, as with many Soundgarden songs, is quite unusual - E E B B B B. But this tuning allows to play power chord progressions with a different voicing from the usual (playing all six strings), and with just one finger. The song is also notable for its use of time signatures. For much of the song, there is a cycle of one measure of 7/4, then two of 4/4.
I've recorded the main guitar sounds in the song, included the slide guitar Intro, which is quite difficult for me. For this I used a backing track with no guitar, but it's an interpretation (not the original Soundgarden's performance).
Modelled amps: Presets based on Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier amp.
Tuning is: E E B B B B (Kind of “Open E5”)
Gear:
- Epi Les Paul Tribute Plus
- Digitech RP 360 Effects Processor
